PGAV developed a master plan for the 8,000-acre Biltmore Estate, the site of America’s largest home and one of the best preserved designs of Frederick Law Olmsted, the notable landscape architect. Prior to the master plan, most guests visited the house and gardens, but were unable to experience the estate as guests of the Vanderbilt’s. The master plan defined strategies to enhance the visitor experience and increase revenue through extended length of stay with new interpretive, retail and dining experiences.

A recommendation of the plan was the creation of Antler Hill Village which serves as a place for guests to socialize, relax and enjoy the estate. Based on the Village’s success, PGAV designed the new Village Hotel which recently opened.
